He's 6 years old,....

....it's a Friday night and he's sitting beside me reading through his homework sheet and answering all the questions. When did he get so smart???? I'm so proud of him!!!

Frankee.....

We claim he is a family pet.....he's not! Frankee is Tayah's bird. He has chosen her, just as Koda chose Ky all those years ago. Ky and Koda were like two peas in a pod. Koda would sit on the front steps and wait for Ky to come home from Daycare, sometimes for the majority of the day. He'd run to him when Daddy and Ky pulled up in the car, they'd hug and then run off to play together. How I miss watching them play... Their relationship seemed very normal though, for that of a boy and his cat.
Now a girl and a bird....... just seems weird that they should have that same type of relationship. Tayah doesn't seem to comprehend the notion of gentle just yet...well not fully anyway. He will come to her and she picks him up (sometimes by the head) and she nurses and cuddles him, she rocks him in her arms and sings him lullabies....all this and he LETS her. The rest of us aren't allowed to touch him, he'll come and sit on our shoulder etc but he won't let us stroke him, he'll just fly off if we try. Yesterday, Ron came through the back door and saw Tayah sitting on the lounge watching TV. Then he spied Frankee, laying on his back with his wings spread out on her lap, just relaxing....on the lap of a not-so-gentle 3 year old!! I LOVE watching them love one another! So sweet! I found a little info sheet on rainbow lorikeets for anyone interested in owning a bird that is just soooooo full of love and mischief and randomness!

Little girls dresses.......

....equals LOVE!!! At this moment I'm in love with a few dresses but this one in particular. Burnt orange corduroy. I think the reason I'm so terribly in love with it is because I bought it for her the summer she turned 1, it is a size 18mos to 2 years and I felt sure she should fit in to it in the coming winter.........wrong!!! 2 years later and it finally fits her. Can't wait to do some more shots when it gets colder with her little matching skivvy and tights! But for now, you may catch a glimpse of matching bloomers.....Oh my gosh, so terribly cute!!

I'm feeling a little flat today. Nothing has gone to plan and I think I'm just a bit irritated.

I had a newborn shoot this morning, and the adorable little princess was too busy being adorable to sleep, hahahah, she slept for a moment before she got some wind pains and I managed to capture this:

So I'm going to go back again tomorrow, wish me luck for a sleepy baby.

So when I left this adorable bundle I came home to my two sleeping angels (Dad does a great job at putting them to sleep), not 10 minutes after I walked in they both woke up in the worst moods ever! Lucky me!!!

Around 30 mins ago I found out my family shoot for this afternoon isn't going to happen. The poor woman has a tummy bug.

So now I'm wondering what to do with myself when all I really want to do is sleep I think.
